Angel Ramos, cofounder and Chief Creative Officer of the West Village menswear shop 18th Amendment, has been offering online fitting for the past three years. His method is straightforward, clients are sent jacket prototypes so Ramos can get a sense of the fit and drape, then the actual garment is shipped to the customer for approval. In the end, "the final product is as good as it'd be if the process was done in person." he says. And besides, he adds, it can be fun. "The idea is, even though this is a video call, let's have a good time."
The latest to join this bespoke band of brothers is Angel Ramos, with a shop he opened in January.
